About the role

This role sits at the heart of Chexy’s vision to become the centre of our users’ spending lives. You’ll build an experience that organizes and automates everyday bills - all while creating moments of delight, motivation, and learning.

What you’ll do

This role has two equally important parts:

1. Help users stay on top of their money
  • Own the roadmap for how users discover, organize, and stay on top of their bills across Chexy
  • Design automation-first experiences that help users move from manual setup to a “set-it-and-forget-it” experience
  • Identify moments of friction, anxiety, or uncertainty in the bill-payment journey and redesign them to feel human

2. Make the experience delightful
  • Layer in gamification mechanics through progress tracking, milestones, and celebrations
  • Run experiments to drive confidence, habit formation, and long-term engagement

Across both areas, you’ll:
  • Define success metrics and use data to guide prioritization and iteration
  • Partner closely with Design to maintain a high bar for taste and delight
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, and Operations

What we're looking for

  • Experience building consumer-facing products real people love to use every day
  • Strong background or interest in engagement and gamification features (e.g., streaks, in-app currency, milestone celebrations, rewards)
  • Ability to think creatively about how to make features delightful and fun for users
  • ‘Builder’ type experience at a prior startup, or 0-1 product experience
  • Comfort working in a high degree of ambiguity
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to pull data yourself using SQL, interpret it, and make data-driven decisions
  • Scrappy (execution and outcome-focused), curious, and teachable

  • Users walk away feeling more informed and in control, with small insights that compound over time
  • Paying bills no longer feels like a chore; it feels surprisingly satisfying and even fun
