We started by being the first in Canada to let people pay their biggest and most painful bills with credit cards and earn rewards on money they had to spend anyway. Now, we’re on a much bigger mission: to build a super app that acts as your co-pilot for all your money—helping you get more value from every dollar you spend.

The Role

This isn't a "post on Instagram and write a blog" internship. We're looking for someone who wants to help turn Chexy into a brand people are genuinely excited to belong to — the kind of company that sends you a handwritten card when you hit a milestone, throws the invite-only dinner your friends are jealous they missed, and makes you feel like a members, not a user.

What You'll Work On

VIP User Events — Design and execute in-person experiences for our top users — from intimate dinners to rooftop mixers. You'll own the guest list, venue, vibe, and follow-up.
Personalized Moments Program — Build out a system for sending handwritten thank-you cards, milestone surprises, and personalized touches that make users feel genuinely seen — not CRM-blasted.
Member Loyalty Activations — Concept and execute campaigns that reward our most loyal users — exclusive perks, early access, surprise-and-delight moments tied to our Aeroplan and Amex partnerships.
Brand Content & Social — Create content that captures the experiential side of Chexy — event recaps, behind-the-scenes, user stories — positioning us as a brand worth following, not just using.
Partner Activations — Support co-branded campaigns with our key partners — think cardholder events, co-hosted experiences, and creative ways to bring the Aeroplan earn story to life IRL.
Community Building — Help design the early architecture of a Chexy user community — what it looks and feels like for renters across Canada to feel like they're part of something bigger.

Who You Are

  • You've planned or executed an event — at any scale — and you cared obsessively about the details
  • You think in experiences first, channels second. You'd rather one unforgettable moment than 10 forgettable posts
  • You're studying marketing, communications, hospitality, or something adjacent — or you've just done enough to prove you get it
  • You're a strong writer who can match a brand's voice, not just fill in a template
  • You move fast and figure things out — Canva, Google Sheets, Notion, whatever it takes
  • You want to see the thing you built actually happen — not just ship the deck
  • Bonus: you're a Chexy user, or you're genuinely into rewards, travel hacking, or personal finance
