OPEN CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Manager, Growth & New Channels

Description

About Chexy

At Chexy, we're building modern financial tools for Canadians, starting with their largest expenses. We turned rent, mortgages, tuition, insurance and other big bills into opportunities to earn rewards, improve cash flow and get more from money they already have to spend.

We're the first platform in Canada that lets people pay nearly any bill with a credit card while unlocking cashback, points and financial flexibility. Billions in payments move through Chexy, our customer base is growing fast, and we've just relaunched the brand. Over the next 12 months we launch several new products, starting with our first credit card in Q1 2027.

We're backed by Khosla Ventures, Crossbeam Venture Partners and Venrex, and we partner with Aeroplan and other leading Canadian financial and telecom brands.

About the role

Chexy is hiring a Manager, Growth & New Channels (or Senior Associate, depending on experience) to find our next channels. You report to the Director, Growth Marketing and spend most of your time on things we don't do yet: referral mechanics, creators, contests and draws, community, partnership activations, affiliates, offline, and whatever else might acquire Canadians cheaper than paid media.

The job is to run a test pipeline. Pick a channel, size the prize, design the smallest test that could prove it, ship it in weeks, read the result, then kill or scale. You also take some paid execution off the Director's plate so they can stay on strategy.

You run on agents from day one: creator sourcing and outreach, community monitoring, contest ops, competitor and promo tracking, reporting. You build those yourself. This is an early-career seat with an unusual amount of room. What you learn here is how to run growth end to end, not one channel.

We care about taste, speed and results.

What you'll own

New channel tests

  • A rolling backlog of channel hypotheses, each with a prize size, a cost to test and a kill criterion
  • Design, launch and read-out of two to three tests a quarter, from referral mechanics to creator pilots to offline
  • Everything a test needs that isn't creative: tracking, landing pages with the designer, offer setup, contest rules through counsel
Creators and community

  • Sourcing, outreach and tracking for the pay-on-results creator program, and the relationship once a creator is live
  • The personal finance and points communities where Canadians talk about bills and rewards: listening, seeding, answering, with agents monitoring
Referral and contests

  • The referral program day to day: mechanics, fraud checks, payouts, what's working
  • Contests and draws end to end, including rules, Québec requirements and the skill-testing question, drafted with agents and reviewed by counsel
Paid support

  • Campaign setup, QA and reporting on paid under the Director's direction
Your agents

  • Creator discovery and outreach sequences, community monitoring, competitor and promo tracking, weekly test reporting

What success looks like

Twelve months in:

  • Eight to twelve channel tests shipped, each with a clean read-out, and the losers killed on time
  • At least one test has scaled into a channel the Director now funds from the main budget
  • The referral program runs without the Director touching it
  • A creator roster that pays for itself, with cost per activated user tracked against paid
  • Contest launches get through counsel in days, not weeks, because the rulebook is yours
  • Agents handle sourcing, monitoring and reporting; your time goes to tests and relationships

What we're looking for

  • 3 to 5 years in growth, performance or lifecycle marketing at a consumer app, fintech, subscription, DTC brand or startup (Senior Associate at the lower end, Manager at the upper)
  • You have shipped at least one growth test end to end and can tell us the hypothesis, the result and what you did next
  • You are fast and hands-on: you set up tracking, build a landing page in Webflow or Framer, write the brief, run the outreach
  • You build your own automations and agents (Zapier, n8n, Make, LLM tools) and use them daily, not occasionally
  • You read data without help: SQL, or at least fluent in a BI tool, and you know when a result is noise
  • You live online where Canadians talk about money and points, or can get there fast
  • You are organized enough to run six things at once and honest enough to kill your own ideas
Strong plus: referral or affiliate program experience; creator or influencer work; Canadian market; French.

This probably isn't the role for you if

  • You want a defined channel and a playbook
  • You have only ever executed someone else's tests
  • You need a designer, an engineer and an analyst before you can ship anything
  • You would rather present a strategy than set up the tracking yourself
  • A test failing feels like a failure rather than a result

Why join Chexy?

  • Run growth end to end, early: your own test pipeline with a real budget behind it, in year two or three of your career
  • Learn from a director who does the work: one manager, no layers, daily feedback
  • Agents from day one: build the stack you'll use for the rest of your career
  • Equity: meaningful equity in a high-growth fintech
  • Toronto office: we work in-office 5 days a week

How we hire

We keep our hiring process clear and human. You'll go through a mix of conversational interviews and practical discussions designed to show how you think, what you've built and how you work with others. Expect to walk us through a growth test you ran end to end (hypothesis, setup, result, what you did next), an automation you built and use every week, and how you would test a channel we don't run yet.

We use AI tools to help us organize and review applications; every decision about who we interview and who we hire is made by a person. This posting is for an existing vacancy. If you interview with us, we'll let you know within days of your last interview whether a decision has been made.

Chexy is an equal opportunity employer. If you require any accommodations or support during the hiring process, let us know and we'll do our best to help.
